Holga Modification Images

Here are a few of my best images from my Holga modification experiment:

Holga Modification

A while ago I modified my Holga into a 35mm camera, just with rubber bands and small pieces of foam. I watched a tutorial on YouTube and modified the camera myself, even though you can buy a 35mm mask from Lomography. This way was a lot cheaper made me feel more involved in the images making process.

Here's the link I used on YouTube to modify my camera:

Photo Transfer

For my best friend Alyssa's birthday I made her this cool little bat ornament made with a photo transfer. I'm going to start doing these transfers more often, so watch out for more of these pretty pennies! Thanks to Alyssa's sister, Victoria, I now have an awesome photo of her present! Glad she liked it as much as I did , hope you do too!

photoshop layers...

Last night I borrowed the most amazing book from a friend about Photoshop's layers, pretty much Photoshop's best attribute. I learned some of this stuff in school, but it never stuck. The way this book explains layers makes it seem a lot easier than I believed. I've decided I'm going to buy it because it really does have everything you need to know to be a productive Photoshop user. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to brush up on their technique or would just like to learn something new and awesome. It's called 'The Complete Guide to Photoshop's Most Powerful Feature Layers' by: Matt Kloskowski. READ IT!

I have never been a big Photoshop user, but reading this book and doing the tutorials has made me realize what I've been missing out on. I feel like gaining this knowledge will help me commercialize my work, so I can start doing this as my career, fingers crossed!

a photo blog...

I'm starting this blog so people can view my photography, to dialogue about photography and anything art or life related. I shoot film most of the time, 120 that is. I am also a big fan of toy cameras, especially the Holga. Any advice, comments or photo wisdom would be greatly appreciated!

Here are a few of my favorite photographs I've taken with the Holga :)
